Dopamine is not the pleasure hormone. Now measure yours.
A lab test you do at home, shipped to your door — dopamine and the messengers around it, interpreted one-to-one by a neuroscientist.
Dopamine Check
- Urine neurotransmitter profile: dopamine + its breakdown products (DOPAC, 3-MT)
- Plus the context that makes it readable: serotonin, noradrenaline, adrenaline, GABA, glutamate
- Kit shipped to your home, prepaid return to the lab
- Results session with Francisco (neuroscientist) included
Dopamine + Stress Panel
- Everything in the Dopamine Check
- Plus your cortisol rhythm: 4 saliva samples across one day — how your stress axis moves from morning to night
- The pairing that answers: wired, tired, or both?
- Results session with Francisco included
Both prices include the test kit, lab analysis, shipping within Portugal/EU, and the results session. Lab analysis by Doctor’s Data (LC-MS/MS), ordered by MuLabs as registered practitioner via Nordic Laboratories.

A complete collection kit, nothing to figure out
The Nordic Laboratories kit comes with everything: collection tubes, step-by-step instructions, and the prepaid return packaging for the lab. You collect at home, in your own time.

Results, explained
A one-to-one session with Francisco: your numbers, what they mean, what to do next — integrated with your qEEG if you have one.
What the test actually tells you
Balance, not a single number. A dopamine value on its own is unreadable. Next to serotonin, noradrenaline, GABA and glutamate it becomes a pattern — which systems run hot, which run empty.
How you break dopamine down. The metabolites DOPAC and 3-MT reflect the work of two enzymes (MAO and COMT) — your own clearing machinery.
Your stress rhythm (Panel). Cortisol measured 4× in one day shows whether your stress axis rises and falls when it should — or runs flat, or peaks at night.
And what it is not. This is a body-level snapshot, not a brain scan. The brain’s live activity is what a qEEG shows — the two together are where it gets interesting.
Honest questions, honest answers
Does urine really measure what’s in my brain?
Not directly — nothing outside a hospital does. Urinary neurotransmitters are a peripheral measure: they show how your body produces and breaks down these messengers. That pattern is informative, especially repeated over time and read next to your symptoms and your qEEG. Anyone who tells you a urine test reads your brain is overselling it; anyone who tells you it says nothing is underselling it.
Who is this for?
People who want data behind how they feel: motivation that comes and goes, flat energy, restlessness, focus that won’t settle, stress that never switches off. It’s also a natural next step after a MuLabs qEEG assessment.
Which lab runs it?
Doctor’s Data, a specialist clinical laboratory, using LC-MS/MS (mass spectrometry) with creatinine-corrected results. These tests are practitioner-only — MuLabs orders them for you as a registered practitioner through Nordic Laboratories.
I take supplements or medication — can I still test?
Usually yes — tell us what you take when you order and we’ll tell you what to pause (some supplements) and what never to touch (prescribed medication — never change it for a test). The results session takes everything you take into account.
How long until I know something?
Kit at your door within days; about 2–3 weeks of lab time after your samples arrive; then your results session is booked at your convenience.
This test is for wellness insight and self-knowledge. It is not a medical diagnosis and does not replace your doctor.
